CYNTHIA HOLMAN is a young dramatic soprano equally at home performing the music of Puccini and Mahler as Mozart and Bach, and has sung in operas, oratorios, festivals, and recitals throughout North America and Europe.
Recent engagements include the soprano soloist in Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem at St Martin-in-the-Fields in London with the Choir of Exeter College, University of Oxford; Buxtehude’s cantata Mit Fried und Freud with the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland; and Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate at the Evangélikus Templom in Budapest.
Known for her innovative programming as a recitalist, Ms. Holman has performed at Magdalen College, Oxford; the Vox Organi Festival in Germany; Festival l’Europa et l’Orgue in Maastricht, The Netherlands; with Ars Lyrica Houston; and as a guest artist at the Bergen Organ Festival in Norway.
Ms. Holman studied with Cynthia Haymon, and is presently based in Oxford, England.
